Archos Video AW Review
Archos Video AW is a multimedia application only available for Archos devices based on AllWinner CPU. This video player app offers an uncompromised multimedia experience with hardware accelerated video decoding support for most devices and video formats. It enables users to play content from many computer/network storage in their network using SMB, UPnP, FTP, SFTP, or from an external USB storage device. Additionally, it supports torrent streaming, and previously downloaded torrent files can directly be opened by the application.
The Archos Video AW app has an automatic online retrieval of movie and TV show information with poster and backdrop for both local and network content. It also comes with an integrated subtitle downloader, network indexing, and video browsing with either folder or library-based navigation. Furthermore, it has a dedicated user interface that is keyboard/remote control compatible and Android TV compatibility, making it TV-friendly. Users can share and keep track of what they have watched using Trakt scrobbler. Lastly, the app supports 3D video with visual tagging and side by side/top bottom playback mode with Archos stereo virtual reality glasses or cardboard support.
